Art Express

Take a look at the future artists of Australia, so you can say you saw them before they were famous.

Now showing at the Art Gallery of New South Wales and several other venues throughout Sydney, Art Express is a chance to support the incredibly talented youth of Australia combined with a touch of culture.

The annual exhibition features a selection of outstanding student artworks developed for the artmaking component of the HSC examination in Visual Arts across schools in NSW.

It includes a broad range of approaches and expressive forms, including ceramics, collection of works, documented forms, drawing, graphic design, painting, photomedia, printmaking, sculpture, textiles and fibre, and time-based forms.

Now having been part of the cultural landscape for over 60 years in one form or another, Art Express has become an iconic fixture of Sydney’s cultural calendar.

It also helps that entry is entirely free and you can take as much time as you want to wander around and enjoy the brilliant creativity of the young artists.

Art Express is now showing at the Art Gallery of New South Wales until April 26. Entry into the exhibition is free.
